GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Tottenham superstar Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to win silverware and stated he does not want to end his career with any regrets, while Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea keep tabs.
Kane has told Spurs he wants to leave the club at the end of the season after another trophyless campaign that saw the north Londoners missing out on Champions League qualification for the second year in a row.
The England international told Gary Neville’s YouTube show, The Overlap: “I don’t want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be.
“I never said I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career and I’ve never said I’d leave Spurs. People might say, ‘he’s desperate for trophies, he needs trophies’, but I feel like I’ve still got almost another career to play.
“I’ve still got so much more to give. I can produce better numbers than I’m producing at the moment.
“I’m not afraid to say, ‘I want to be the best’. I want to try and get on the level [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi got to. That’s my ultimate goal – to be winning trophies season in, season out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Norwich ace Emiliano Buendia ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are looking for a potential replacement for Martin Odegaard, who may return to Real Madrid once his loan stint comes to an end.
According to Goal, the Canaries will ask for a fee in the region of £40million for the Argentine playmaker.
The 24-year-old has registered 15 goals and 17 assists in 41 matches across all competitions this season and helped Daniel Farke’s side return to the Premier League.
Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp insists Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek, who is trying to buy the club from the Kroenke family, is “not a quitter”.
Bergkamp told Voetbal International: “Daniel doesn’t see a takeover as buying a nice toy.
“We can’t force anyone to sell. I understand that, in addition to that offer, Daniel has now reached out twice to Josh Kroenke and his bankers.
“Whatever Kroenke’s intentions are, it would be good if we at least have a conversation with each other.
“Regardless, Daniel is not a quitter and neither are we. We are here to stay.”
And Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino wishes to sign Liverpool ace Georginio Wijnaldum.
According to L’Equipe, Pochettino wants to add some firepower to his midfield and needs someone to pair up with Marco Verratti.
Wijnaldum seems to be among his top targets as the Netherlands international’s contract runs out in the summer.
The 30-year-old is likely to depart from Anfield at the end of the season and has also been linked with Barcelona
