Since its discovery back in 1924, particle spin has become a fundamental component of the entire quantum physics, and is used to describe particle’s behavior. We usually tend to imagine that it should have to be associated with the rotation of elementary particles. But in reality this quantum phenomena does not have any analog in classical physics, although scientists often use the example of the rotating elementary particle to illustrate quantum spin.
