A woman found out her boyfriend was secretly using a dating app thanks to a friend looking out for her.
The 21-year-old said her friend’s tip pushed her to step out of a “toxic relationship” that was “already holding on by a thread”.
She took to TikTok to share a message she received from her pal who has recently downloaded Tinder.
The friend wrote: “Hey I know we don’t talk but I recently downloaded Tinder and this person popped up and I realised it was your boyfriend.
“I just wanted to tell you because I know if roles were reversed I would want to know.”

She went into details and explained how Tinder works to give her a better understanding.
“I also saw that his account was verified, which means that he verified his face through his facial recognition so that it tells people that you are a real person,” she continued.
“Also Tinder’s algorithm shows you people who are active when you have just downloaded it.
“The pictures he posted are recent. I just want to let you know.”

The woman later confronted to her boyfriend, who allegedly denied using Tinder, and she decided to break up with him.
She later wrote: “I wish I had someone staying by my side but I was alone and it sent me into a big depression and I had to dig myself out and now I’m in therapy because of all I had gone through.”
Viewers commented to praise her friend for exposing the boyfriend.
