The burglaries took place in the Woodway Subdivision in Victoria
VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – On Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, a Louisiana man pled guilty to two counts of burglary of a habitation that occurred in March of 2020. The incident occurred in the Woodway Subdivision in Victoria, Texas.
Michael Wayne Martin, Jr., 38, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for one county of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony. He also received 10 years in prison for one count of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft.
The affected homeowners were consulted prior to the outcome. The Victoria Police Department investigated the case, and Assistant District Attorney Arnold Hayden made the prosecution.
Martin was represented by defense attorney Elliott Costas.
