MHA Henderson Loggie, a chartered accountancy and business advisory firm, has announced that Dawn MacDougall has been appointed tax director at the group.
MacDougall joins the Scottish group from EY, where she served as head of tax at the Big Four firm’s Inverness office.
Providing over thirty years’ tax experience, MacDougall will focus on furthering the tax team’s reputation in the owner managed business taxation sector.
She said: “MHA Henderson Loggie is undoubtedly one of the leading mid-tier firms in Scotland with interesting clients and I’m looking forward to being able to collaborate with the other service lines within the firm.
“Building on our reputation as a centre of excellence for the provision of services for owner managed businesses, there is significant scope for the tax team to work with businesses across Scotland and to help them achieve their goals.”
While based in Edinburgh and Inverness, MacDougall will work across the company’s four Scottish offices.
Kimberley Thomson, partner and head of tax at MHA Henderson Loggie, said the appointment “signals a new period of growth in tax services at the firm”.
She added: “The pandemic has created many challenges and opportunities for all types of business and Dawn’s market focus and insight will be invaluable as we work with our colleagues across all disciplines to provide the services and advice needed by clients who are steering their way through these difficult times.”
