Natalie Barr is known for her modest and polite demeanor.
But on Friday, the Sunrise host let loose as she described a very unfortunate beauty treatment experience, where she was left ‘patchy’ after a bikini wax.
The 53-year-old was appearing on the Kyle and Jackie O show on KIIS FM, and when host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed she had left an intimate waxing halfway through because she couldn’t stand the pain, Natalie admitted she had done the same.

‘It was so painful!’ she said, covering her mouth in embarrassment. ‘They tell you to take a Panadol and they apply some numbing cream, but it’s still too painful!’
Her Sunrise co-host, David ‘Kochie’ Koch, 65, looked both shocked and amused by the confession and asked if Natalie had, ‘pulled out halfway as well’.
Laughing, Natalie admitted: ‘That sounds really awful!’

Natalie recently transitioned to the anchor position at Sunrise, after 18 years in the newsreader’s seat.

Sunrise has maintained its strong ratings since Natalie took over from Sam Armytage, 44, proving she’s the right person for the job.
Sunrise received an expected spike to 308,000 metro viewers for Sam’s departure special last Thursday, before settling back to 248,000 on Monday and holding steady with Natalie at the helm alongside David Koch.
Sam, who joined Sunrise in 2013, resigned earlier this month in order to spend more time with her family after eight years in the public spotlight.
