TWO people had to be rescued from a house fire in Oswestry shortly before midnight on Wednesday, say Shropshire Fire and Rescue.
Three crews from Oswestry were sent to an address in York Street at 11.58pm after reports of a house on fire, and were joined by ambulance staff and police.
Firefighters had to use a hosereel jet and a covering jet to fight the blaze while also wearing breathing apparatus.
They also had to administer oxygen to to the rescued people, while a short extension ladder and thermal imaging camera was also used by the crews.
An operations officer was in attendance while firefighters spent around 50 minutes at the scene.
