A hilarious advert for an Indian restaurant in east London has just gone viral.
The flyer for Anu’s Kitchen was recently shared on takeaway delivery site Foodhub where it was spotted by a man named Paul Brook.
Paul couldn’t help but notice an important bit of punctuation was missed out from the restaurant’s name.
Instead of reading as “Anu’s Kitchen”, the flyer missed out an important apostrophe leaving it to actually say “Anus Kitchen”.
Then in a bid to make others giggle over the awkward blunder, Paul took to Facebook to share the embarrassing mistake.
The advert reads: “Anus Kitchen is now available on Foodhub.co.uk. Get 15% off when you order directly @ anuskitchen.co.uk.”
Since customers spotted the mistake, dozens of users couldn’t resist making light hearted jokes about it.
One said: “Might give them a ‘ring’.”
Another added: “Does excellent rump steak.”
A third joked: “Entrance at the rear.”
While a fourth commented: “No amount of punctuation is going to make that right.”
But one foodie claims they weren’t surprised by the mistake as they had seen it before at a different restaurant called Anu’s.
Sharing a snap of the restaurant’s sign, it read: “Omg. We had an Anus Kitchen near me, for a few weeks until they realised.
“They then added a small chilli to try and make it look better.”
Alongside the post was a photo showing a cartoon chilli tactically inserted on their branch’s sign to make the distinction.
Anu’s Kitchen in east London cooks up a selection of curries, kebabs, burgers and wraps.
When Mirror Online contacted the restaurant for comment, a spokesperson claimed the error was down to Foodhub.
They said: “We recently opened a kitchen, my wife’s nickname is Anu and as she’s the main chef, we named the kitchen after her.”
The spokesperson added: “Foodhub printed some leaflets for us and made the silly mistake.
“Even the picture on the leaflet is wrong, that’s not our food.
“If they’d shown us before publish, we definitely would change the picture and correct the name.”
