Saweetie was among several stars to headline iHeartRadio’s 2021 Jingle Ball tour and fans can’t stop talking about her performance – for all the wrong reasons.
It seems like the rapper has garnered a lot of negative reactions for showing off some bold moves on stage while performing her latest EP, Icy Chain.
Saweetie’s performance stirs conversation
Saweetie took to the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 12, 2021.
Donning a one-piece bodice with fishnet stockings, the 28-year-old looked stunning, but, her signature twerk is being questioned by many.
The performance video shows Saweetie twerking with her back facing the audience surrounded by fellow dancers.
She had let her red hair lose and completed her look with large hoop earrings and silver shoes.

Fans react to singer’s dance moves
While fans seem confident and happy about Saweetie’s debut at the New Years’ special program, many have disapproved of some of her on-stage moves.
One tweeted, “Yoooo. I love Saweetie but that performance tho… no wonder why she getting dragged”
Another wrote, “Dam Saweetie doing a new twerking style. Huffs. I think I’ve mastered her whole performance. Huff huff.”
“Every Saweetie live performance reminds me of the time I was forced to perform backup at an 8th-grade talent show and didn’t know the choreography and ended up improvising moves14,” wrote another.
Another added, “I watched that performance trying to defend Saweetie and it was worse than I could have imagined”
