A post on Snootie Wild’s verified Instagram account has announced the sad news that the rapper has passed away. The update comes just hours after the rapper’s team said he was ‘fighting for his life’ following an alleged shooting

Rapper Snootie Wild has died after reportedly being shot in the neck.
A post on the star’s verified Instagram account appeared to confirm the sad news on Saturday night.
Captioning a picture of the late musician, the statement read: “Gone in body, but your NAME & LEGACY will live forever! [blue love heart emoji] # TeamYayo4Life [100 emoji].”
The sad news comes just hours after it was reported the rapper was ‘fighting for his life’ following a shooting on Friday.
According to reports in American, the 36-year-old rapper was found in his SUV, which was in a ditch in Houston, Texas on Friday.
It was claimed the star had been shot in the neck but according to his team, did not die at the scene.

ABC13 reported that a statement on Snootie’s social media read: “Snootie is not DEAD! But he is fighting for his life.
“Out of respect for the family, please refrain from sharing anything that is not communicated through his official accounts. Thank you.”
It was been reported that police rushed to the scene after they were alerted by the Shotspotter Program that there had been shots fired.
The rapper – real name LePreston Porter – reportedly received CPR at the scene before being taken to hospital, authorities have revealed.

Officer R. Willkens said about the incident: “It looks like he backed in there (the ditch) accidentally. Then the other vehicle pulled up, and folks got out of the car.
“They were talking for a little bit, and then all of a sudden, gunfire went off. Only one shot, actually.”
The alleged incident was apparently caught on camera by a neighbour, which is said to be helping investigators with their inquiries.
Doctor’s treating the star before his death gave the Yayo singer a 50/50 chance of survivial.

Shortly after the late rapper’s team announced his passing on Saturday night, many fans paid tribute to the Memphis-born star.
“This is crazy. I literally followed this dudes career from the start. Now to see this is shocking and sad. R.I.P,” one Instagram follower commented underneath the sad update.
Another added: “My heart is broke I can’t believe you left us we were waiting on your come big cuz! I’m so hurt behind this!”

“RIP Snootie Wild. Yayo was a banger and Yo Gotti really believed in him,” Eric Diep took to Twitter to write shortly after the news broke.
The late rapper was best known for his first single, Yayo, whose success helped launch his career.
Snootie went on to tour with Yo Gotti, as well as collaborate with other big name artists such as French Montana and Fabolous.
He was reportedly a father to four children.
