An Instagram model explained why she decided to cover herself in hundreds of extreme tattoos – and that some people think she’s gone too far.
Sarah Sabbath, 27, from El Paso, Texas, describes herself as “a weird soul with a big heart” and has a number of intricate designs stretching across her face, torso, arms, bum and legs.
The alternative beauty works as a tattoo artist and model as uses her art work to express herself.
Her 29,000 followers love to check out her latest work on her Instagram page @sarahsabbath.
Now speaking to Daily Star, she said: “I got my first tattoo on my back and it was my baby brother’s name.
“I love art and expressing myself.”
When asked about the inspiration behind her designs, Sarah added: “I honestly just have a lot of random stuff.”
The designs inked on the model’s body include starcapes on her legs and bum, swirling line patterns, blooming flowers on her thighs and and snakes.
On her back a hand holds a skull and a torch is lit on fire.
Moons and planets are inked across her body while the face of a statue peeks out from her ribs and a geometric patter covers her bicep.
On the raven haired model’s chest a large ram is tattooed covering her lapel and on her face a lotus design stretches across her chin.
Sarah also has tattoos on her forehead, cheeks and even each eyelid, while her hands and chest are covered in inkings.
Alongside her tattoos, Sarah has a number of piercings on her upper and lower lip, in both nostrils and sub-dermally implanted in between her eyebrows.
When asked about her favourite tattoos, Sarah said: “I don’t really have one, but I would say my foo dog on my stomach or the rat under my chin.”
A foo dog is a traditional Chinese ornament also known as a guardian lion.
Sarah has even gone enough to tattoo her eyeballs in a risky procedure which has been known to cause blindness when done incorrectly.
The process is illegal in the UK.
Sarah said: “I got them I think four years ago, I like the way they look.
“It was uncomfortable!”
And, she plans to have more ink done.
The model commented: “I plan to get some black work soon. On my hips.”
Blackwork is a tattoo style which turns the skin totally opaque black.
But, not everyone in Sarah’s life is as in love with ink as she is.
The tattoo artist noted: “My tattoos are a part of me so [my family and friends] can’t really see me without them.
“But yes they are supportive – of course they also think I went too far.”
