The Ocean Cleanup begins cleaning the Great Pacific Garbage Patch


Plastic is everywhere. Even in our oceans. And the total amount of this trash is staggering. Sadly, we, humans, are responsible for this problem.

Until now, there were no large scale attempts to clean the garbage from the seas. However, this is about to change: a non-profit organization called The Ocean Cleanup has announced that they have developed a commercially-viable technology for plastic collection from water. This organization also aims to initiate its first plastic pollution cleanup operation by dealing with the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
