Following a shooting at Oxford High School on Tuesday (November 31st), an alarming video showing students taking cover has surfaced on TikTok.
Reports say that the tragic event killed three students and injured eight others, including a teacher. Here’s what we know so far.

What happened at the Michigan high school?
As per The BBC, three students have been killed during a shooting at a Michigan high school.
Police are looking into a 15-year-old student at the school as a suspect, who allegedly used a handgun that his father had bought on Friday.
Reportedly, the victims have been identified as Tate Myre, 16, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, and Hana St Juliana, 14. Eight others, including a teacher, were injured during the shooting.
Oakland County Sheriff, Mike Bouchard, reported that the suspect wasn’t cooperating with police. The Sheriff explained: “The person that’s got the most insight and the motive is not talking.”

Viral TikTok video sees Oxford High School students take cover

A now-viral clip has surfaced on TikTok, seeing the chilling moment Oxford High School students stay low before taking cover from the suspected shooter.
One person in the video can be heard saying: “We’re not willing to take that risk right now.”
Another says: “He said bro, red flag.”
The students are then seen running away from the classroom.
The TikTok has since been viewed over 98k times, with over 1k comments showing support for those involved.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer issues a statement
As per The Independent, Governor Gretchen Whitmer said that flags will be lowered across the state of Michigan on Wednesday in the aftermath of the shooting.
Whitmer issued a statement: “No one should be afraid to go to school, work, a house of worship, or even their own home. This is a time for us to come together and help children feel safe at school.”
