Series will take place at the Victoria and Gonzales locations
VICTORIA, Texas – Victoria College plans to host a three-session “On the Menu: Effective Communication” series. This series will take place at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex and VC’s Gonzales Center on Sept. 9, Oct. 14 and Nov. 11.
Each session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex location. Lunch will also be provided. The sessions being held at VC’s Gonzales Center will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and breakfast will be provided.
“Communication is one of the most important aspects of any job,” said Mary Hardy, VC’s Workforce and Continuing Education program coordinator. “During this three-part series, participants will walk away with better communication techniques for customers and coworkers. Participants will also learn the do’s and don’ts for communicating via technology.”
On Thursday, Sept. 9, the series will begin with “Customer Service.” Attendees will learn a variety of communication styles, problem-solving skills, professionalism and more. On Thursday, Oct. 14, the next session, “Improving Your Communication,” will take place. On Thursday, Nov. 11, the series will conclude with “Communicating During a Pandemic.”
Each session costs $35 or $85 for all three. The deadline to register for the Sept. 9 session is on Sept. 7 at noon.
You can locate the Victoria College Emergency Technology Complex at 7403 Lone Tree Road in Victoria. VC’s Gonzales Center is located at 424 E. Sarah DeWitt Drive in Gonzales.
