Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s new album Vultures is yet to release and fans are awaiting Volume 2 thanks to its cover art with a major hint.
The rappers came together for an impromptu listening party in support of their new album in Miami, which is now available to watch on YEEZY’s official website. Among an exciting line-up of features is none other than North West, who delivered a live performance of the verse from her song in her daddy’s new album.
Cover art for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures revealed
The cover art for Vultures was recently shared by Ye, formerly Kanye West, in his Instagram stories following the listening party for his new album.
The monochrome art on the cover features a bird perched on a shovel above a coffin at a gravesite and some fans think the design could be inspired by an 1800s painting, according to HipHop DX.
The report notes: “The desolate island horizon photo was inspired by a landscape painting crafted by Caspar David Friedrich circa 1835 – 1837.”
However, the meaning of the design is deduced by fans, while neither of the rappers has explained what it symbolizes.
Fans think the new album has a Volume 2
The bottom right of the album cover for Vultures displays “Volume 1”, which naturally led people to assume there is a second installment for the new album. Some have gone as far as thinking that there can be multiple volumes of the same album.
While the original album is slated for Friday, December 15 release, rumors about its unconfirmed sequel have swirled on social media.
One fan suggested: “Kanye Vultures Volume 1 album cover. So there will be volume 2?”
“I assume it means there will be a Vultures volume 2,” added another.
Another commented: “Think we can all agree that Vultures Volume 1 means that the deluxe will be Volume 2, right?”
