Acids are interesting materials. And useful too – in many different areas where chemical reactions are involved. However, they bear certain risks associated with their practical use. The strongest acids are especially dangerous, even when dealing with them carefully.
Popular culture often portrays the dangers of using acids. Books, movies, various internet websites often illustrate what are the effects of different acids, providing examples (mostly fictional, but also sometimes realistic) about what could happen when these aggressive chemicals come into contact with different objects.
But have you wondered, what is the strongest of them all, worthy of the ‘Supreme Acid’ title? Well, there is such, called Fluoroantimonic acid. The following video talks about this substance, and also provides answers to a number of interesting questions, including what would happen if some of it drips onto your skin, what kind of container is capable of keeping it safely, and does it dissolve nearly all materials.
