Gone Girl star Lisa Banes has died after a hit-and-run accident in New York City. Lisa is survived by her wife Kathryn Kranhold.
Actress Lisa Banes has passed away on Monday (June 14th) after she was struck by a scooter or motorcycle while crossing a street near Lincoln Center in New York City.
Her representative has confirmed her death to news outlets.
The actress leaves behind her partner Kathryn who previously issued a plea to catch the hit-and-run driver.

It has been reported that Lisa has passed away after suffering a “traumatic brain injury” following a hit-and-run accident that happened earlier this month.
The actress was “struck by a scooter or motorcycle while crossing a street on June 4th”. She died at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital on Monday, June 14th, aged 65.
Her representative told AND: “We are heartsick over Lisa’s tragic and senseless passing.
“She was a woman of great spirit, kindness, and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends.”

She is reportedly 61 years old and serves as contributing reporter for the Centre for Public Integrity.
Following her graduation from the University of Southern California, she earned a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
Kathryn started her journalism career in 1986 at The Hartford Courant before landing a staff reporter role at The Wall Street Journal in 1996.
She has also served as the Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications at Walt Disney Co.
Kathryn previously issued a plea for “any information about the scooter driver”.
“We have several days ahead of us to pray for Lisa,” she said in a statement to the New York Daily News. “If anyone has any information about the scooter driver, we ask them to please call police.”
Lisa and Kathryn’s marriage
Lisa and Kathryn had kept their marriage away from the media spotlight and there are not many details about the pair’s relationship.
What is known is that they married in a ceremony at City Hall in 2017 after having started dating in 2014.
The couple lived in Los Angeles and didn’t have any children.
