FINAL LEADERBOARD
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
- Stanford’s seventh LPGA Tour win was her first in her home state of Texas, and came on the back of an extremely strong week with the putter. Finding plenty of fairways with the new G425 driver from longtime sponsor PING, Stanford required an average of just 25 putts per round this week, including just 23 during the second round with her prototype milled PING putter.
- Despite maintaining the same shaft model in all three of her fairway woods, the 43-year-old has three different models in the bag, with her G400 9-Wood clearly a favourite club that the major champion is very comfortable and confident with.
-
Stanford’s victory is part of a very successful weekend for PING and Titleist on the world’s two biggest Tours for men and women. The American and Viktor Hovland both claiming wins, with both players using the new G425 driver, i210 irons and Titleist’s Pro V1 golf ball.
QUOTE: “Big shout out to Cheyenne Knight. She proved last year you can win at home, so that inspired me and made me realize that I am making it harder than it needs to be. – Angela Stanford.
