Hello r/realestate, any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, I haven’t been able to find much research on this.
I have some land near the intracoastal in South Florida, Lake Worth specifically where I will be building a house and am currently trying to see what the benefits and drawbacks of a steel/metal framed house would be and even to see if it might be a complete no go because of the fact that is close to a flood zone (the land is elevated but this is a picture of the floodfactor.com map -> https://imgur.com/QJ2FN3K). That is my main question I guess, I have found some information on the general pros and cons of steel framed buildings but not much in regards to steel framed buildings near an intracoastal and ocean in South Florida.
Thank you guys!
