LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Gundersen Health System said Thursday that it’s ready to deliver third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to people once they get guidance from the federal government.
The FDA is set to meet to discuss Pfizer’s application to provide a third dose of vaccine to people.
Gundersen currently provides a third dose of both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to immunocompromised people. They don’t offer an additional dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Following government approval and eligibility information, a statement from Gundersen said the vaccine would be offered to eligible patients and non-patients throughout their health system.
Gundersen also plans to have a new location on its La Crosse campus.
The statement said Gundersen would release more details once third doses receive government approval.
Anyone wishing to receive the free vaccine can do so at Gundersen. Walk-in appointments are available at Gundersen’s Onalaska Clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
COVID-19 vaccinations are available at other Gundersen locations. The Gundersen Health System website has more details.
