Michelle Keegan put on a sizzling display as she took to Instagram on Saturday.

The actress, 34, showcased the fruits of her labour while exhibiting her washboard abs in a black bra top and coordinating sports leggings.

Sprawling out on the floor following a gruelling gym session, she posed alongside a a set of heavy-looking weights for the steamy snap.

Putting on a show for her followers, she tied her chocolate locks into a tousled ponytail and completed her ensemble with a pair of white trainers.

In her caption, the former Coronation Street star wrote: ‘Didn’t want to, but did it anyway,’ followed by the bicep emoji.

Michelle and her husband Mark Wright, 34, recently asked for permission to build ‘entrance gates, piers and walls’ on their ‘£3.5million’ Essex mansion on Friday, according to The Sun.

It comes after they previously reportedly withdrawing an application for security measures that would block a footpath.

The local parish council said of the planned 2.1m walls in a letter of objection, according to the publication: ‘The design of the high walls, together with the pillars and the gates, are out of keeping with the rural setting, and would detract from the rural nature of this particular area of the Parish.

‘In addition, a public footpath currently runs through this property, and whilst we understand there may be possible applications to alter this in the future, we could not at this time support a planning application which would effectively block a public right of way.’

The council will rule on the new application in the coming weeks.

Each of the property’s five bedrooms has its own en-suite, while three of them have dressing rooms.

The master bedroom has its own glass balcony so the couple can enjoy the countryside views.
