Quantuma, the business advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Kate Hart as managing director at the group’s forensic accounting division.
The firm’s forensic accounting and investigation department was formed in 2018, with Hart’s appointment aimed to support the team in cementing a position as one of the UK’s leading mid-market forensic accounting teams.
In her new role at Quantuma’s London and Southern team, Hart will be tasked with working alongside lawyers, specialising in expert witness and advisory work on civil litigation and matrimonial cases.
Gavin Pearson, head of the London and Southern forensic accounting team at the company, said that he is “delighted” to welcome Hart to the team.
He added: “Kate has a fantastic reputation within the market for her no nonsense, user friendly and pragmatic attitude.
“Her appointment will further reinforce our position as one of the leading mid-market forensic accounting teams in the UK.”
Providing the role with 20 years of forensic accounting experience, Hart previously served an 11-year spell at Deloitte, where she worked on a variety of commercial contractual and transaction related disputes.
Since 2011, Hart has established the forensic services offering and built a related team at a mid-sized accountancy group.
She said: “The pace at which Quantuma has grown over recent years has been impressive, and the firm’s full advisory service both in the UK and overseas is an attractive offering.
“Quantuma has established a very well-regarded forensic accounting and investigations capability and I am looking forward to contributing to its development at an exciting point in the firm’s journey.”
