Ready to hit the skies and get flying to your next destination? Us, too!
The holiday season is in full swing, and travel is picking up. But before you throw everything in your carry-on bag and call it a day, it’s important to know about TSA’s approved toiletries guidelines.
First, know that you are indeed allowed to bring toiletries in your carry-on bag and within your checked luggage.
If you are bringing liquids, aerosols, gels, creams or paste in your carry-on bag, they must all be able to all fit in a quart-sized bag, per the official TSA website. Each item must also be in a container that holds 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less.
The only way to get around the 3.4 ounces rule is to pack your goods in your checked luggage.
Aside from toiletries, lugging your accessories through the sky, such as your sunglasses and jewelry, can also come with a few stipulations. After all, it’s such a drag when your favorite necklace gets tangled with your adorable bracelet.
But never fear, as we’ve outlined the best travel-size toiletries, skincare, organizers and more that put your mind (and TSA’s mind) at ease.
