Astroworld Day 2 is cancelled after crowd surge
American rapper, singer and record producer Travis Scott recently hosted his annual music festival, Astroworld, in Houston, Texas.
The second day of the event has since been cancelled after the tragic death of eight attendees involved in a crowd surge that occurred on the opening night, Friday 5 November 2021, according to BBC reports.
On their official social media accounts, @astroworldfest paid tribute to the casualties unfortunately involved in the incident.
While the event addressed the accidents that took place and announced the cancellation of Astroworld day 2, there was no mention of refunds in the statement.
Travis Scott fans demand refunds
After paying a general admission free starting at $349.99 with an additional $71.35 concert fee, fans now demand refunds for their tickets.
Astroworld states that ticketing questions can be directed to support.frontgatetickets.com.
Front Gate Tickets announced via the website that they are experiencing longer wait times than expected due to an unprecedented volume and are encouraging customers to refer to the event FAQ if immediate assistance is required.
The site confirmed that if concerts are cancelled or postponed, they will attempt to contact customers with information regarding refunds or exchange procedures.
For exact instructions on any cancelled or postponed concert, they advise checking the concert information online or contacting the ticket company.

Magic Money, the electric credit system that allows Astroworld fans to enjoy the event’s rides and carnival games, is non-refundable.
Astroworldfest.com state that Magic Money credits will not be returned to customers after the festival and advise people to only add the amount of credits they plan to use.
Therefore, if you purchased Magic Money credit with the hopes to continue to use it on the second day of the festival, you will now be unable to take advantage of this.
A Twitter user pointed out that the insurance policy for the event’s tickets includes numerous things that are not covered.
