The administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas expressed alarm over allegations that China is trying to interfere in the elections, saying it is not just a political issue but “a matter of national security.”
“Disclosures by the country’s top security officials on possible foreign interference in the upcoming elections are truly alarming and concerning,” Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco, Alyansa’s campaign manager, said in a statement.
