Eight things from the Grammys that you didn’t see on TV: Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar receive the loudest applause, Taylor Swift pops champagne despite returning home empty-handed, and more.On Sunday, the 67th annual Grammy Awards brought together the biggest names in music in downtown Los Angeles.

Among the biggest names mingling inside Crypto.com Arena to celebrate what seemed to be the best year in music in a long time were Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Taylor Swift. This indicated that there were many competitors in the Big Four categories.

Here are some of the most significant moments that you didn’t see on television during the nearly four-hour show that Yahoo Entertainment hosted.

Taylor Swift wasn’t a salty loser

Taylor Swift outdid herself at the Grammy Awards, dancing in the crowd and enjoying performances by Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter. Despite losing the category to Kendrick Lamar, Swift remained energetic and entertained the crowd. During Charli XCX’s final performance of the evening, Swift was dancing while holding a bottle of champagne in one hand and a glass in the other.

Beyoncé arrives fashionably late but exactly on time

Queen Beyoncé made a late but on-time entrance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, despite the crowd’s swivelling. She made her way through the crowd with daughter Blue Ivy during Chappell Roan’s performance of “Pink Pony Club.” Beyoncé won a Grammy award for Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter and returned to the crowd after the tribute.

Did Kanye West and Bianca Censori Get Kicked Out?

Kanye West and Bianca Censori were rumored to have been escorted from a red carpet moment at the Grammys, despite being nominated for the award. According to a report, they were invited but didn’t want to attend the show.

Not even celebrities are immune to distractions

The Grammys announcer has had to corral the famous crowd during commercial breaks, repeatedly asking them to sit in their seats and look towards the screen before and after the Best New Artists Medley, causing some to mingle again after the performances.

Shakira enthralls Taylor Swift and Beyoncé

Beyoncé appeared to be enjoying the performance, but Shakira was the one performer who really got her fired up. The performer, who took home the Best Latin Pop Album award, delivered a seductive rendition of “Ojos Asi” and “Sessions.” Beyoncé, for once, got up to cheer before Swift did.

Beyoncé’s first AOTY victory and other crowd favorites cause the arena to erupt

Beyoncé’s first Album of the Year win, Cowboy Carter, sparked a massive crowd reaction at the Grammys. Despite her long-standing struggles with winning the Grammys, the event was filled with cheers from fellow nominees like Swift, Roan, and Carpenter. Lamar also received the most cheers when his name was first called, and the Best New Artists medley was another crowd-pleaser.

The Carters’ adorable moment

Beyoncé and Jay-Z had a cute moment at a Jones tribute, cuddling up together. Despite recent headlines about Jay-Z’s involvement in a lawsuit, the couple remains “Crazy in Love.”

Diddy hangover

The Grammys were the first major awards show since Diddy Combs’ arrest for human trafficking in September. Despite no Diddy jokes, a protest group reminded attendees of Combs’s alleged crimes at the event, shouting “going to hell” at those attending Combs’s parties.

FAQs

Did Taylor Swift appear upset after losing at the Grammys?
Not at all! She danced all night, sang along to Kendrick Lamar’s win, and finished the night with champagne and friends.

Did Kanye West and Bianca Censori get kicked out of the Grammys?
No, they left voluntarily after making headlines on the red carpet. Despite rumors, Kanye was invited but chose to skip the event.
