Carnival Cruise Line has always given military veterans special recognition on its ships. That’s not limited to American military members, both active and retired; it also includes Canadian military members and veterans.

“The biggest kudos come during the cruise: at the Military Appreciation Gathering. Here we not only honor their courage and commitment…but of course, that of their families too. We hold this event on absolutely every cruise — always during Military Appreciation Day — and everyone’s welcome to come and show their support,” the cruise line shared on its website.?
Carnival also offers special recognition to the longest-serving military member in the room, “who brings home a special hero coin, while all members leave with a commemorative pin,” it added.
Many Carnival ships also offer the Heroes Tribue Bar & Lounge.
“There’s a place in our heart for heroes…and now there’s a spot to salute them! We’re talking about the military folks you can count on to take a mission that matters and get it done. You’ll find proof of our commitment to them on board at Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, an ongoing recognition of sacrifices made by Armed Services personnel and their families,” according to Carnival.

A day before Veterans’ Day, Carnival Cruise Line decided to offer a special drink onboard. Carnival Brand Ambassador shared a message he received from the cruise line’ vice president of beverage operations.
Here is what he sent me:
John,
Nov 11th is Veterans Day in the US. To recognize that we have special cocktail that is available at all of our Heroes Bars onboard
Heroes Tribute Martini Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Good Boy Vodka
- 1 oz. St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 1 oz. Cranberry Juice
- 0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- Top with Domaine Ste. Michelle (1 oz) OR any other sparkling wine
- Garnish with a lemon wedge
“Carnival does the BEST Veteran’s Day tributes on 11/11, in addition to the veterans’ gatherings on every sailing. Better than any other cruise line I’ve sailed,” Lauran Henshaw shared.

Gloria Lanhardt agrees.
“Seriously, we love how Carnival honors the military. My husband was Coast Guard starting back in 1969 serving 13 years. It could be a hard life some days but a very rewarding one that he loved very much. He goes to every get-together on the ship. Thank you to all who served,” she wrote.
